We’re stoked to announce that we have added Electric Motion Motorcycles to our range of EV bikes at the AEMC dealership.
Coming to Australian riders from the French countryside, Electric Motion motorcycles have grown a reputation over the last decade for providing trailblazing electric off-road bikes. Electric Motion are bringing four models of their EV motorcycles to the table – the Escape, Escape R, EPure, and EPure Race.
Who are electric motion?
Electric Motion launched their first electric motorcycle back in 2012 with the goal of taking on gas powered bikes in elite off-road trail competitions. In 2014, two years after the release of their first electric competition bike; Electric Motion secured top-step in the French Trails Championship. A huge accomplishment for a new company.
Two years after finding national and international success, EM launched their first publicly available motorcycle, the Escape. The EM Escape is designed for riders who want to get away from busy city life and enjoy the great outdoors in the peace and quiet only an electric motorcycle could provide.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, the EM range will surprise you with how outstanding performance and state-of-the-art equipment meet to provide adventure on a completely other level.
The TechnologyÂ
Electric Motion Motorcycles have been advancing their off-road technology over the last decade and have integrated some pretty exciting features in to their 2022 range.
Tick Over – TKO
With a constant RPM, the bike gains precision acceleration and traction. It’s a true help to power control at low revs. Straight from the racing department, the Escape R and ePure Race are now equipped with the TKO, a major innovation for riders.
Progressive Regenerative Brake – PRB ‘R’
EM offer the new PRB ‘R’ as an optional added extra. This small ergonomic lever fits on the 2022 Escape R or ePure Race model in a comfortable and practical way. This new brake system is very safe in extreme conditions, when braking needs to be precise and controlled. It offers the performance of a progressive motor brake and regenerates your battery using kinetic energy conversion.
Traction Control
EM offers Traction Control on all 2022 models. Never lose grip and keep control of your bike in all conditions. If you’re an off-road rider you understand the thrill of extreme conditions throw at you, and the need for precision and control. EM Traction Control provides you the best possible traction to keep control in any circumstances.
3 Power Modes
One of their newest innovations, Electric Motion motorcycles have simplified the bike’s cockpit with a three mode control switch on the left side of the handlebars. The button allows the rider to switch traction control on and off and below it sits the maps button. The maps button connects to an LED at the centre display that corresponds with your map selection:
Green = Low Power
Bluw = Medium power
Red = High/full power
Charge Indicator
Nestled next to the handlebar pad, the digital charge indicator displays your remaining power level so you will always know how much juice you have left.
Easy Charging
Preparing your EM bike to ride is as simple as charging your battery. The charger can be plugged into a standard 120v wall outlet, and the other end into the battery – it’s as simple as charging your phone. With a 15A charger included, EM bikes take between 3-4 hours to charge a fully-depleted battery. If you’re looking to get back out on the trails quicker, there’s an optional upgrade to a 25A quick charger that will get you to a full charge in just over 2 hours.
The EM bikes km range isn’t all it could be compared to some of the other EV motorcycles we have on offer, but it all depends on how you are using the motorcycles. We expect to see some awesome innovation from Electric Motion in the coming years and we can’t wait to get these mountain machines out for test rides.
